FAQ'S

If you’re considering hiring Tartan Tasty to cater your wedding, dinner party, event or business function, you may have a few questions about the logistics involved. With this in mind, we’ve put together a FAQs page, with a list of the most frequently asked questions to help answer your queries.

  • Do you wash up after dinner?
Yes, all the cleaning will be taken care of before we leave. Customers often comment that the Kitchen is left cleaner than when we arrived.
  • How many options can I have?
Most clients pick 2 or 3 courses to offer their guests which you are more than welcome to do if you wish. There are no limits.
  • How does payment work?
When you initially book you will be required to pay our event fee which is 25% of your final bill to secure the date. You will be billed separately for the dishes you have ordered, which I ask is settled 14 days before your event.
  • What happens if I need to cancel?
In our terms and conditions, you will find all the information required with a description of our 25% non-refundable deposit and timings.
  • Do you cater for my dietary needs?
Yes, we can cater for all requirements including gluten free, dairy free, vegan & all common allergies. Please make sure you let me know your needs when you book.
  • How do we order or choose a menu?
Our Tartan Tasty creator and head chef will be your first point of contact, from there he will ask for a brief conversation and for yourself to know who is behind the ideas. This conversation will discuss what it is you want i.e. style, formality, likes & dislikes. Following our meeting a menu will be curated and sent to you for your approval.
  • The venue we’re using doesn’t have a kitchen, can we still book your services?
If your venue doesn’t have a kitchen, we can still cater for your event, depending on the kind of menu you want to serve. Please discuss this with us when making enquiries, so that we can assess the facilities and recommend a menu before going forward.
